They're still trying to cut costs at Playboy, so the good news is that we get two Playmates in the new issue: Miss January 2010 Jaime Edmondson and Miss February 2010 Heather Rae Young.  The bad news is that the pictorials for each are woefully lacking in quantity of photos.  Thankfully, we can see much more of both in the Playboy Cyber Club.

Jaime Edmondson (above) is not your average Playmate:  She'll be 31 years old next week, she's a brunette, she was a cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins, she was a police officer and she had few minutes of fame prior to getting naked for Playboy.  She and another former Dolphins cheerleader participated in a season of "The Amazing Race" on CBS.  There's more: Jaime is also absolutely spectacular from head to toe.  Instead of sharing the spotlight and only showing us 7 photos plus the centerfold, Jaime should've been featured on all 202 pages of the January/February issue.  She's that awesome.

On the other hand, Heather Rae Young (above) is straight out of the blonde Playboy Playmate cookie cutter - and is showing off the worst tattoo in Playmate history.  We're sure Heather is a perfectly nice girl, but we're also sure that Miss February will be gone from our memory within a week or two.

It's also time for the annual Playmate Review, so we get one more photo of each of the 2009 Playmates.  Not surprisingly, the best photo is of our favorite Playmate of 2009, Miss September 2009 Kimberly Phillips (above).  We'll even adjust our "202 pages for Jaime" idea - we'd be very happy with 101 of Jaime and 101 of Kimberly.  She's that awesome, too.
